Hi - can anyone recommend a reliable VDSL modem that either functions purely as a modem or has easy bridging settings to get it to function as such (Something that does NOT require secret settings and 3rd party firmware :) ). Would like to use a VDSL modem for connectivity with Asus RT-AC68U fo routing, switching and wireless. Thanks in advance for sharing!

I use the Telkom Pace router for just this purpose. It's only only being used as a modem in my set up and I have not had a day's hassle with it.

Just got a Zyxel VMG1312-B10A and it has a direct bridge mode setting for each broadband profile. Couple of clicks to change from router to bridge mode, no hidden or magic hoops to jump through.

I have a Billion 8800NXL and run PfSense so it is basically only a modem and I love it! :D

Works wonderfully.
