Vegetable exchange in the city

Would it not be nice if we could exchange our home grown vegetables when we have surplus? I have a small vegetable garden and I plant lots of mielies and my basil seems to flourish as well as rocket and chillies. My kale is going crazy and fennel is just rude. What do you guys think?
