The worst thing about cooking a veggie is getting the wheelchair in the pot.
Ok, busy making BCO's From the Can to the Pan Chili Bean:
Ingredients:
1 can green beans
1 can butter beans
1 can baked beans
1 can chick peas
1 can tomato and onion mix
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
1 yellow pepper
1 box Fry's vegetarian mince (or like 500g regular mince for the necrophagists out there)
1 tbsp crushed garlic
1 tsp origanum
1 tsp paprika
1/2 - 1 tsp cayenne pepper (depends how zazzy you want this dish)
2 tbsp oil
Directions
Rinse the butter beans and chick peas in a colander.
In a large pot heat (medium heat) the oil and the chopped peppers and garlic.
Cook for about 5 minutes and then add the cayenne pepper, origanum and paprika.
Add the Fry's mince and mix the provided gravy powder to be added later. Stir occasionally while cooking for about 4 minutes.
Drain the green beans and add them to the pot.
Add the tomato and onion mix and then Fry's gravy. Cook while stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes.
Add the rinsed butter beans and chick peas and the baked beans.
Stir everything up nicely cover the pot.
Reduce the heat to very low and allow to simmer for about 1/2 hour, stirring every few minutes.
Serve.
