Hey guys,

Anyone here make use of King Price to insure their vehicles? If so, what is your experience like with them if you had to claim for something.

I'm looking at switching my insurance as my current insurer, Naked is pushing up my premium for the 3rd consecutive year while I have never had any claims in my 5+ years of having insurance for my vehicle.

If anyone can maybe recommend a broker I can try out as well, I will explore that option

Please don't
Don't be fooled
Go through a decent broker and preferably through, Santam, Hollard, OMI, Bryte and not one of the cr@p insurers.

Get a broker, it's not optional these days if you want value for your insurance premium.. Make sure your broker can get you Sanlam or Hollard as insurer, both very good..
Any recommendations or referrals to a broker? I've never made use of one before so I wouldn't know who to go with

I personally make use of https://www.kayserbaird.co.za/

Have not had any issues and they have come to the table with negotiating a near 1k drop in my premium when I got a cheaper comparative quote from another insurer..

Grab yourself a broker and let them fight on your behalf. My broker saved me R400 a month.

Mine goes down with Naked, yearly. Have you been making claims? Or have other items added, like building insurance etc?

Haven't had any claims or added any additional items to my policy. When enquiring you just get the usual the cost of the vehicle decreases but the cost of repairs increases.
Funny thing is a friend of mine has the exact same vehicle and same colour, mine is just a year newer, we are the same age and I referred him to Naked but his premium also decreases yearly while mine increases.

Hectic, ja that makes no sense at all. I've been very happy with them overall. My premiums went down a ton when I switched from the normal insurers (who would happily increase premiums by 10% or more yearly) to Naked

Any other broker recommendations? kayserbaird service so far not really awe inspiring

My experience with Naked is similar. They gave a great price for the start, and after no claims, on the 1st anniversary they increased both the premium and excess by about 10%.
I have never seen an excess be increased on the anniversay.
The price was still low so I didnt move away, but finally got the motivation to look elsewhere.
Also when you cancel cover, you cant specify a cancellation date, so they cancel the cover immediately.
