Outsurance are ripping me off. I barely even use my car. Who would you recommend? Anyone using one of those "pay as you drive" schemes?

Someone here will have some broker contact details in CPT.. or you can get hold of Alexander Forbes.

I tried using the hippo as my broker but, not being speciest or anything, I think i'd prefer a human over an anthropomorphic semi-aquatic mammal.

Hippo just gets you quotes from all the "cut out the middlemen" conartists....
Use a proper broker.

we have our insurance with her from house to 4 cars and the business as well

Depending on your risk profile it might not be horridly out of line. That being said, you'll only really be able to judge once you've got some figures back from a proper broker.

I've got R620pm with out, I'm 24, driving a polo 06, no accidents and secure lock up.
They wanted R800 but I said I was still looking, and they transferred me to some other guy who I then bargained with.
So I'm quite happy..
Discovery wanted to charge me R1400 odd!! Hahahaha what a joke.

Just got a call from Hollard regarding their "pay as you drive" and quoted R400 for 500KM per month. Still have to contact the broker.

im paying on a 07 mk1 golf which is a high risk car 300pm for 3rd party fire and theft
of that r100 is for tracker
full cover was around 450-500 i think
so you should save more and pay much less than what you paying now

I use http://www.carelinegroup.co.za for this and I think my premiums (2cars + hours, 2 laptops, 3 cellphones, etc, etc) dropped by R300pm
