+1, those Vivo's aren't put together very good imo. Hit one gravel road and your dash will be rattling for the rest of it's life. Not even talking about the hijacking risk.

As a lifelong VW driver with some other cars, even their expensive cars suck with rattles, etc. Driving A CC right now with a god awful rattle under steering wheel. My old passat had the same rattle. Asked VW to fix it while car was still new, they made it worse. And today the CC's dashboard made a groan while driving down Sandton Road that I never heard before.

Next time gonna buy a fiat. I drove one for a while. It was **** for nearly everything, except the dashboard which was silent.

How on earth did VW **** it up this badly.

Only one that kind of looks alright is the red colour.

Styling wise I would choose either the Kia, or the Vivo. I say that assuming the new Vivo will be similar to the old Polo in term of refinement. If it's not I would taker the Kia. That only if I HAVE to buy new. Otherwise sensible people buy secondhand.

I'd look at whichever ones have the indicator stalk on the left side of the steering, which probably limits me to the non-Asian and to the Europeans.

I agree with most of the people who didn't suggest a polo. If you have to go new/almost new.

Personally I would go older. For the same kind of budget we bought a Kia Sportage that was 2 years old. It was what the wife wanted, you could probably get something better still.

Especially considering they are mostly the same thing built on the same platform with only a slightly different marketing appeal.

It will be fairly similar to the Mk5 Polo yes.

4 star currently. But 2018 facelift will be 5 star as well as the h9 launch. Do some research. It should dethrone Toyota in around 2 years. So get in early and you have a winner
