Car swings but people are suggesting the starter or battery could be at fault?

It shouldn't be starter but it may be battery, I am not sure how sensitive the MP9 ECU is to voltage fluctuations?

Not very.

I owned a 1.4 MP9 and 1.3 carb for many years with an aftermarket sound system drawing a lot of power off a standard battery.
No issues even when my battery died.
A quick jump\kick start was always all it took.

hi guys. I checked the car. I found this so far. Will this cause any problems to the spark or any other thing 1 side that's coming from the coil is rusty

Replace it, you should be able to get a new coil to distributor cable but check all other cables while you are at it.
