Hi forum,

I joined this forum, just to vent steam, if you dont want to read this I understand. I have little to contribute, I am not a tekkie but a simple stupid consumer. I bought a hdspa 3g card cash following the brilliant advertising six months ago. It began an expensive nightmare, I paid over R3000 for the card, the PCMCIA card reader supplied was wrong, ended up crashing my PC, then had to buy a windows upgrade, then that didn't work , bought new motherboard, guess what another new windows xp, 3g still didn't work, wrong card reader, then wrong version of VMC s/ware, then the occasional connection, then 619 errors all the time, bought an arial put it on the roof, I can actually see the VC transmitter from there, so now back to a modem.

Sick of VC, the hours on their help line, the queueing in their unhelpful VodaCARE shops, workshops, sick to the back teeth. Then VC tell me the 619 error resolved. Sick of being promised a better price, sick of paying 400 times more for my downloading than I would pay in Asia, sick of GREEDY corporate thinking,
Vodacom and what you stand for go to hell.

PM me your details and let's see what we can do. I'm sure we can sort it out.

V3g does have some strange ideas on how using Telkom's links saves Vodacom money, but he generally knows how to sort out this kind of thing. :)
