Vernon Koekemoer at Cool Runnings

Is this guy still alive? I haven't seen him on and advert in years
 
I remember he came to our gym once(Planet Fitness wanderes) and there was a competition about who can do the most pushups.He dressed up in that same schit outfit that made him famous.He is actually a very cool,friendly dude.Wonder what happened to him.
