Vertical but no horizontal at all

Single cable on a PVR? No wonder you're only getting vertical. If you pop it into the other port you;ll only get horizontal.
Am I missing something here?

HD PVR switches. One cable into LNB1 will give you V and H viewing, but no recording and limited EPG.

2p PVRs don't have separate vertical and horizontal inputs. If the OPs getting literally zero horizontal signal its almost certainly a faulty lnb.

Tried 2 decodes and same thing, tried mine hd and tried my parents sd. I thin its the LNb, only problem is our spare dish is slightly smaller than the current one, current dish is large.

Just swap the LNBs.

Well we got it working the next day, we decided to check angle of the dish, I increased the angle by a couple nose hairs and it came right. My assumption is a cow or something big knocked it ever so slightly . On vertical we get 100% quality and horizontal 80% quality, signal strength 100% on both.

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to — The Outer Limits.
