This has been my speed with Rain for most of 2019 , i have contacted them however they do nothing. internet is literally unusable.
I have the same problem.
Everytime I log a support request, even though I provide the detail of the previous few support requests, the support people do the same thing over and over.
They checks with their networks team and suggests the same fix on my even though they know the issue is their side.
I always get told to restart, then reset router and details, try another device, move it around for better signal.
Then they confirm congestion on the towers I am locking onto.
Thereafter silence as they are supposedly in the process of upgrading but no ETA.
The rain rep on here has tried to escalate suggesting that a dual band tower would be highly advantageous in my area.
If they have sufficient paying customers in an area consistently using those towers, surely they need to give it more attention.
They are just happy to continue growing their customer base and profitability without having to invest to keep the infrastructure optimal for all users.
I have also read in their faqs that they throttle and apply a fup when conditions warrant but this is not consistent with what we are experincing.
No active management of the network.
