Why is it that only GPRS and EDGE gives speaker interference? While connected via 3G or HSDPA, there is none. Can't find anything in Google. I'm baffled. Is the frequency to high?

Never noticed. Interesting.

Is the frequency to high?
The frequency needs to be way higher to carry more data. I think your probably right about the frequency being the cause.

Frequency

It is definitely frequency related. 2G & 2.5G typically run at 900MHz (some of the time at 1,800MHz). 3G & 3.5G run at 2,100MHz.

Higher frequency being more prone to interference and a clearer line of site from cell to base??

I think wirelessness is referring to having your phone near a radio or some kind of powered speaker.
