Video challenges driver's assault claim

I do not understand, when you have done nothing wrong and the cops pull you over, why the dusk make a whoolapaloo?
He is doing his job, it is during the day in a busy intersection.

Just let them search your car and get it over with.

A reaction like that is going to make them suspicious. They should have arrested him for obstruction of justice.

Police haven't a clue how to handle this situation.
 
Shows why the police are ineffective because the ruling party and it's members put a stop to policing and are above the law.

Well for a start you defuse the situation so that he doesn't get more agitated.

Why was it necessary to film him? It looks like an officer doing that. In the reverse position they would have stopped him filming. I know in Cape Town they don't allow filming of Metro officers. It doesn't help the situation.

If he's not a threat, you don't crowd a driver with what ... 8 officers or so ... Some forces sit him in the car/van and discuss what he did wrong. As I said, poor handling leads to escalation.

Umm no in Cape Town they can't legally stop you filming as far as I'm aware if its in public space.

As long as you're not interfering with them in the course of their duties, you can legally film them anywhere, not just CT... Stopping you would be that particular officer or officers ignorance and arrogance.

I've searched the PR releases from CoCT and a few other places and see no mention of this.

You have made the claim, now back it up with some fact or link, or you're talking nonsense.
