At current ADSL rates, teleconferencing would be more expensive than flying everyone there. Great technology, castrated by Managed Liberalization.
Sort-of like the story about it being cheaper to buy a hard drive here, fly to Singapore, fill it and fly back with your data, that it is to download the same amount via Telkom.

Haven't really played around with this yet.
I've been lucky enough to do a conference a couple weeks back with another option called WebEx.

Its a pretty nifty conferencing app. I have also been informed that a local bridge is going to be setup shortly. So all video / presentation / sharing will be done over the internet connectivity. All voice will be controlled over a bridge with an 0800 number to keep costs down.

it's all good until they charge 10mil per site for telepresence. Not worth it imo.
