Video Converter

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a nice video converter (preferably freeware) that can convert a 400mb AVI file to something really smaller so that I can upload the videos to facebook and youtube.
Any suggestions...I'm not sure what's the file ext. for the smallest video file size.

Check out xvid4psp freeware. Can convert to mp4 which is the native youtube format.
