Not sure if I'm in the right section :confused: but here goes.

This is about converting the old video VHS tape media into a video file on your computer.
My friend bought one of these converters yesterday for R650.
One end USB connection for PC/laptop, the other end has the 3 connection(white/yellow/red) for video machine, with converter in middle.
(Coverting software supplied as well).

Has anyone used this before? Quality/worth it? Or any other comments will be appreciated. thx :)
 
My dad used one of those a while back ...quality is cr@p compared to digital format (but thats only because its the source thats bad). It will be the same as the video...no better, no worse...
 
It sound like a cheep video capture device. (probably a easyCap device)

R650 is a bit high, R350 is probably closer to the real price. (edit: R229 :D )

They are not the best, but it sounds like they work.

Video capturing is 1:1. So for every hour of video you gonna capture for a hour to get it off.
File sizes are huge uncompressed. If memory serves me correctly +-10gb for 2h (or could have been a hour)
