Video Replay Issues VLC

Hi

We use VLC play videos on the projector at Church.


Firstly the videos do not start on // Display 2, tho they are setup to do so.

If you pause a play list that is running on //Display 2, then resume, it starts on //Display 1, or minimizes.

On the odd occasion it will just die.

Last Sunday, we had an event with videos for 3 different groups. Took a fair amount of juggling to get this to work almost smoothly.

Am I trying to put a square peg, into a round hole, or are there better options? Or solutions to my VLC issues?

Are you not able to put the videos into a PowerPoint presentation ? That way you can control where it show and even how it plays. You can even set up segments to play with breaks for talking.

Not familiar with PowerPoint at all, tho, I did manage to get them to license Office on that box. Will look at that - thanks.

I had to pause them for the reason of talks between, and one I had to play a 2 1/2 minute snippet from a much longer video.

Might have been able to make a proper snippet, if the video was not given to me 5 minutes before service started.
