Difficult to say as even historians don't agree if Ragnar was one person or a combination of people. A lot of what we know about Norse individuals is taken from various Sagas, chronicles and manuscripts and few of these were written when the person concerned was alive with some of them being written up to 400-years after the person's death, so a lot of it is hearsay and/or exaggerated stories as the tales are handed down from generation to generation.

The actions and events attached to Ragnar Lothbrok were very real indeed, but whether it was one person or many we will never know.

The only consensus is that his alleged sons are historically accurate figures.

Imho the better running show at the moment, why? Because it actually has consequences.
 
Had no clue until today that the lead is an Aussie ..... he pulls it off well. Addicted to this show.
 
It's fiction, made for the audience..

For what it's worth Ragnar comes from a farm near the town of Echuca, the same town where all my cousins and uncle reside... yep! Small world...

Yeah, same here. Glad Floki kept on the straight and narrow. Can't wait for the next season. (I think I may be enjoying this more than GoT)
 
All the woman in this show are hot. Too bad about the Queenie and her family! :p
 
Awesome awesome season finale , cant wait for season 3 !!!! Its like a older time version of Son of Anarchy !
