Vikings

Watched an a episode with earphones on and the accents started to get to me. Well that's the end of that.

I think the series tries to stay as close to the "truth" as possible -where "truth" = realistic fictional. So, I don't think they'll push it with gods paying visits. (The furthest they've pushed the supernatural issue thus far, is with the seers and such, but nothing Game Of Throney.)
Well, that's what I reckon....

Thing is though, the Norse believed that their gods did walk among them. As Lagertha says to King Ecbert; ''My gods... are as real as you and me. They laugh. They bleed.", so showing them in physical form is not exactly out of line. Odin for one is said to have frequently walked the earth as a human, fathering many children.

I understand, but we're three seasons in and no sign of anything supernatural aside from the seers -if you wanna call that supernatural. I don't think that the series will now take a "fantasy" twist...but that's my opinion, of course. :)

There was the bird in England who saw the same thing the seer predicted before back in S2.

Yeah, but my point is, I don't think we'll be seeing dragons and gods and faeries and fantastical magical things/beings. Dreams and telling the future yeah...but not the aforementioned.
