I'm going to buy a 2m x 1.6m Carbon Fiber Vinyl this weekend.

I want to see what my Bakkie will look like first (The reason for only wrapping the bonnet).

Planning on having my whole bakkie wrapped in Matt Black. Will update on how it came out :D

Yea I been thinking about wrapping my 3 series in mat white.

The vinyl will cost in the region of about R6k if I don't waste any. The only reason I have not yet is that its been about 6 years since I last wrapped a vehicle, and about 8 years since I did one by myself..
Its a hell of a job.

I'm seeing a LOT of matte black wrapped vehicles lately, particularly around kempton park / boksburg. :p
It seems everyone is doing it these days.

they are becoming more common and a lot as far as i know aren't actually wrapped. however it is still rare and if done on the right car with some nice rims etc can actually look very nice

You can also get it from Falcon Marketing, Signage Material Suppliers and GSW. Shop around, Maizey almost always has stock, but they're never the cheapest.

Agreed. I had my 3 series wrapped in February and since then I have been seeing more and more wrapped cars on the road.

In a way I am grateful though, its a bit hectic in the start with people staring at you and getting random questions from people at traffic lights...

That's quite expensive. I received an email a while back where a company would wrap a hatchback for R6000. Was a special. Will try find the email

Thats probably for Printed vinyl. Printed vinyl you can get in the region of about R200 a square, this mat vinyl is about R350 a square. Also a small hatch probably has about half the coverage of my car. Then considering that you do not want joins anywhere you need to cover each panel with a sold piece of vinyl so there is a lot of waste.
