Violent video game restrictions

Rather ban or shoot parents who is not qualified (or usually not interested) in raising their children properly.

So let me get this straight - Under 18 children can drive a potentially lethal car from 16 years old, but can't kill some virtual people on a TV screen at home.

USA, you are beyond help at this point.

What ever. First sort out your problem of preventing 16 year olds from downloading cracked games, which happens to include violent games. Then try to prevent retailers from selling violent games.

A case of trying to put a band aid on a gunshot victim me thinks.

Hey but at least they trying to do something, no ? a bandage is better than no bandage, shaddup, I put a plaster on it, lets wait and see if that fixes it.

I would like to get me an island and fill it with, say 1 000 5 year old kids, and bring them up on standard tv and computer games, while instilling in them good human values. Only then could one judge if games/tv is bad for them.

Its bad parents not movies/games/music. If the parents were involved and were good parents 99% of the incidents wouldn't happen. The kids who commit these acts has issues , there are thousands of other kids who play the exact same games, listen to the same music and watch the same movies and don't do this crap.

Yeaaaaaaaah... I can't remember the band, but once the R18 label was put on their CD, sales skyrocketed. How about:

Curbing on teenage alcoholism
Improving education (including some sort of course on Logic & Reasoning;))
Getting teens in "bad hoods" into a sports/hobby programme
Minimizing the damage done by bullies

etc
etc
etc

You good sir, would put a bandage on a gangrenous arm and sue the company for it failing to work properly...

Wow under 18 kids can't buy alcohol as well but they just get some older person to buy it for them, whats going to stop them doing the same thing with games?

The only real solution, apart from parents bring up their kids well, is to stop all violent/sexist/competertive tv shows and computer games. Not an opinion I know, but it will work.
Personally, if I had any kids and they fell victim to bullies, I would be at the cop shop, with my lawyer so far, laying charges against all involved. And following through on them,

Only in America. And if you wait a few years until your 21 you can go and buy a automatic weapon at your favourite down the road and turn it on the video resellers.

America...the land of the free and stupid.
