Virgin Data is still among the cheapest, and if you take into account that for R500 you will get just under 1G of Data, and then you get a V-reward of R80.
You end up paying R420 for 1G of data. For R250 you get 500mb and reward of R30 so you pay R220 for the 500mb. For R350 you get 700mb , reward of R60 so you pay R290 for the 700mb. Still not bad taking into consideration they where the cheapest around and after all the drama from MTN,Sen, Vc, IBurst they are still competitively prices with them.

These VRewards are not a certainty. In fact Virgin will get the proper system going shortly. You know, the one they promised in the beginning. [*Hint*]

Iam am on VM - (HSDPA) hehe.... am smiling....

Hi Skpetik,

The repeat posting of issues already raised by yourself several times in the past is noted and we hope to resolve them across the board in time.

Kindest Regards,

Gerald.

Is Vodacom not giving you twice the amount of data (2Gb) for R31 less (R420 vs R389)? Then how is that still competitive, ur getting twice the amount at less of a cost from their competitors?

VC doesn't have rollover as yet. So in effect you may be paying more if you don't make an effort to use up your data before month end.

Gerald,

When Virgin appears not to listen, and the problems are still there, I am quite justified in repeating the message.

You seem to want us to tell you all the time what isn't working at Virgin. We do and nothing changes.

We still don't get called back, your operators still don't provide tracking numbers, VRewards still doesn't work, data is still slow, data still hangs and peak time is still a nightmare.

When you tell us that swapping sims to 128 will fix the problem, we believed you - but of course it doesn't do squat. Even the process of carrying out the swap was a mission and a half.

When Virgin takes effective action I'll keep quiet.

Hi Skeptik,

The 128k Sim has resolved connectivity for a number of customers, if you refer back to previous posts I have maintained that the issue is not down to a single issue.

It does not make any sense going to the expense of SIM card, courier and customer inconvenience only to create a smoke screen.

I really do apologise that you seem to be impacted by everything that can possibly go wrong, and repeatedly at that. Anonymity aside I would really appreciate the opportunity to resolve your issues, do you have any idea on how we can facillitate a process whereby we can resolve your queries, but you still get to hide your identity?

I know that you are against responding to PM's emails etc. but hoping you can guide us.

Regards,

Gerald.

I'm starting to wonder whether Skeptik and Gerald are not the same person, look at how similarly these two posts were constructed:

If you need fairly small amounts of data per month Virgin is a viable option, but if you're going to spend more, then it isn't worth it. Anyone using 500Mb or more per month would be crazy to use Virgin/Cell C.

Anyhow The new 64k sims work in E620 so don't worry!!!
