Virgin improving the network and a myADSL representative!

What problem did you/do you have with the sim?

I could not get logged on for DATA on a Sony Ericisson.

I wanted to know if it was a SIM problem or a modem problem. The APN was not being set correctly. I had to do this via Hyper Terminal.

I had to make a chargeable call to receive the 2nd set of settings.

All is working now.

Maybe the Virgin representative is on his way after all and he's just using a Virgin EDGE connection to get here, that's all. Shouldn't take longer than a couple of months, provided the poor guy gets fed while he waits for the page to load...
 
I think the Virgin Org. is quite content with the fact that Piesang is their unofficial rep here. Furthermore I don't think that they have the necessary expertise within their org. to address the issues that the users experience here.
Guys, you have to admit that you need some hardcore hair on your teeth to deal with some of the personas that lurk around these forums. :D

rather funny, but i think he's on gprs with no reception.
 
So no sign of a Virgin rep yet it seems? You'd think Virgin would be worried about the effect their useless cell service is having on the Virgin brand generally, but clearly not.
