Hey guys

Can anyone help me with this? I can connect to Virgin Mobile GPRS on my cellphone (Nokia N70) and browse the net on my cellphone.

But when I try connect to GPRS from my laptop via the cellphone using a bluetooth dongle, my cellphone begins connecting and then immediately drops the connection before even making a connection at all.

I am using normal dial up on my laptop and am dialing *99# which works fine on my MTN card. I have tried the Virgin SIM card in 3 other cellphones (all nokia) and I get the same problem.

Virgin have yet to reply to my support request (and to answer my call).

Check what number your VM settings are in the list on your phone and then use this string: *99***1# replacing the 1 with whatever number the VM settings fall at.

Put this in at the modems extra initialization strings

AT+CGDCONT=,,"vdata"<cr>

I use this as a modem extra initialization strings

at+cgdcont=1,"ip","vdata","",0,0

its simpler i find to use a data cable.... i am sure u got one with the phone, try that, if u can get that to work u can try all tricks to make bt wrk
