Virgin Price Drop

I stuck it out with VM through the growing pains because I simply will not pay more than I have to. I will continue to stick it out with them because in my book customer loyalty counts for something, however it does run dry at some point so I hope those price cuts don't take too long. I know there's many things to consider but anything more than 20c/MB is no longer viable for my needs if I can get it cheaper and faster so I hope they take into account the higher usage customers as well. They'll still get as much out of me the only difference being I will get more.

Aren't Virgin Mobile operating at a loss?... well so I've heard, if it's true I doubt virgin will be dropping prices then

Could be just a rumour. But they need to drop their prices sooner or later and i'm sure that they will otherwise they will have a bigger problem on their hands

Don't think it's possible. They don't have a network to maintain so they only spend when they receive. If they were losing money they wouldn't be so quick to refund a person's account when they make a mistake.

I'm also with VM since end June 06, but Feb 07 i start to buy MTN bundles because of webpages that took up to 3 min to open. As soon as the new CellC tower in our area is up and running (EDGE) then the speed will be OK again from VM and i'll be back.

And with a price adjustment too hopefully, in the meantime i'm staying with VM. They started the price war and i'm sure that they not giving up now:p

Hi firefly550,

One thing you can be certain of is that wherever possible we will continue to challenge the market.

As for speeds and data performance...correct we are working hard with technical teams to get the situation sorted.

Regards,

Gerald.

Thank you Gerald we all wait in anticipation for Virgin to rock the boat again, maybe a 500MB bundle for R 159.00 in the offing?:)

NOOOOOO!!! Virgin MUST remain committed to not pulling the wool over our eyes with bungles. :)

Note: A lesser charge after the first 5 MB like with calls and SMSes would be welcome though. :D That way the occasional high usage customers would benefit as much while the low usage customers are not at a disadvantage.

I agree - if Virgin brings out bundles, it would be shooting down the very principle that made me switch to them in the first place.
