Virgin sim in MTN Data Card

I haven't use my Virgin sim in my MTN Data Card for about 2 months now. I'll be trying it tonight to see if there is any improvement.

Nope, I'm not lucky enough to have 3G/HSDPA. Funny, I have 3G/HSDPA with my Vodacom sim but when I roam on Vodacom with my Virgin Sim I only get GPRS/EDGE.

You can only use Virgin's best available network even when roaming. Virgin's virtual network best effort is Edge.

I must say, I could't get 3G/HSDPA while roaming on Vodacom but my EDGE speed was fine. I was on the net for a long time with no problems.

I've been struggeling for a full day trying to get 3G/HSDPA to work on my Data Card while roaming on Vodacom with my Virgin Sim. No luck though.

I do have 3G/HSDPA reception. When I manually search for networks my PC picks up Vodacom (2G, 3G) but it only connects using EDGE/GPRS.

Does anyone out there know what the problem could be?

Its not officially supported, every now and then you just get lucky so there's no real problem as such.
