Gentlemen,
I have my desktop with a NIC NVIDIA Force 10/100 MBPS, an ADSL Modem 2wire, and a WatchClock to check cards for timing.
I have a single card with a single jack (RJ45), and I need to download the checkWatch data every day. So I have 2 cables: 1) Internet, 2) checkWatch.
I may change cables every time I need to download the data:eek:, but I need to change from 192.168.1.19 (checkwatch) to automatically in Network Properties.
Do you think there is a way to "create" a virtual IP connection?, so I may change just the physical connection and avoid to go to Network properties and change the IP.

suggest you use a switch and set your ip to use 2 addresses, one for each net, or simply set all your ip adresses to use the same subnet. you would then plug all pc, watchclock & adsl modem into the switch. If your modem has ethernet ports, then use these instead of buying a switch.
