Virus and Proxy/Domain Account getting locked

Guys,

I have had issues with my account getting locked out here at work. Have to keep resetting my password a good few times a day.

I have spoken to some guys, and it seems this is more common then i tought. Most of the guys i spoke to believe its a virus.

I have tried Symantec (company provided) and the other guy has tried McAfee, and both dont pick up anything. I have also tried SpyBot Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware, MalyBytes anti-malware - all with no results.

Anybody else also experiencing such problems? Anybody else from their experience know of what viruses could be causing this? Or if there is something else that could be the cause of the problem

My guess is that there is something installed on your laptop in which you typed in your domain password and never updated it. Now it keeps trying to connect using that old username/password.

For the sake of an example let's say that you want to itunes with the proxy and it requires you to type in the proxy address as well as username password into the settings.

Then you updated you password some day but in the itunes settings it never got updated and keeps trying the old password.

Try alockout.dll - it will tell you what process is locking out your account.
