Hi all,

OK, I have got a suspicious file, but it is important to me.
My normal scanner - NOD32 detected it as "probably a variant of Win32/Agent". So I decided to upload it to VirusTotal, and of the 39 scanners used, 16 of them gave positives (41.03%).
My question is, do I trust the file of not? NOD32 says it's 'probably' a virus, and the other ones I trust, like ClamAV, F-Secure, Sophos & Kasperskey say it's NOT a virus... which one would you believe?

Lemme guess,its an Adobe CS3 keygen :P

Nah those AV vendors are falsely marking it to scare away kids from using keygens

Just click it! Go on; only one way to find out :-) Actually you could mail it too me if you want, got around 20 VM's running here; dont really care if I kill one!

OT: Which VM's are you running? /OT

AVG gives the same messages to some keygens and many other downloaded files I use. They do not spread nor cause any harm thus for me not a real virus.

As Conradl said. Best to test!

OpenSuse10 x 1, CentOS5.2 x 2, Ubutuntu (Version??) x 3, XenServer x 3, Windows XP x 4, Windows Vista x 1, Win2000 x 2 and windows 2003 x 6. And openfiler.

Gotta love those Cannonical guys: spitting out new versions every week. What's next? Ubutwetwe? :D :D :D

And that is why I don't use an antivirus at home. Don't want to loose al my keyge, urm... I mean my trojan files. You never know if you gonna need it in the future. :p
