If it's 'Ultimate' you can legally remove the
64bit installation and exchange it for a 32bit with the same product key

i purchased an 32bit vista home premium, and then downloaded 64bit from my msdn subscription.
used my 32bit key to install the 64 bit
it worked, but i had to phone in to re-authenticate it.
bottom line
you can use 32bit key for 64bit.
you can use 64bit key for 32bit.
I'd love to try out vista ultimate 64....
So hold on............if I bought a 32 bit version of Vista Ultimate say, then got hold of a 64 bit ISO....I could upgrade it for free? Or do they cost the same anyway?
yes. 32 will work for 64, 64 for 32, 32 for 32 and 64 for 64...Can you use the 32 on 32 and the 64 on 64![]()
i canned my xp 64 after running vista 64 for a while now- allot better. win7 when it arrives will thought be great os if they continue with what they have done so far correctly.You won't be sorry! Best OS I have ever used by far!
