Vista Ultimate 64bit

Windows Ultimate 64 is great but not worth the money IMO. If it was like R1500 then it would really be a good deal.

Techie if someone has choose between vista and windows 7 having used both i can asure you that nobody with even 1/4 brain would take vista :p

Ok if you only have 4 GB ram don't go with the 64 bit! Why? Because the 64 Bit Architectur needs more Ram. Only if you have 6+ GB you realy need a 64 bit OS.

Rubbish, vista 64 runs much faster than 32 bit with only 3 gb.

Simple, everyone should run 64 bit who has more than 2gb memory.

Yes it might run faster but it needs more ram. Its a proofen fact.

Bollocks!
I ran Vista x64 on 2gb RAM and it ran faster than XP
Please investigate your advice properly before posting here

Gixxa - you get the award for talking the biggest load of horse manure ever.

Your computer advice is about as good as your spelling. 64bit is not only about addressing more ram, if you have a 64bit CPU it will take advantage of the 64bit instruction set.

I've been running Vista Ultimate 64-bit (VU64) for a while now. As much as I dislike Vista in general, VU64 has been absolutely rock-solid. No BSODs, no "no driver for device" issues, everything works. Some programs will tell you that you must install the 64-bit version of the program (NOD32 comes to mind, as does Directory Opus); I never investigated running those apps in 32-bit mode - I just installed the 64-bit version.
I get more weirdnesses / crap from my openSUSE install than my VU64 install...
