Hi there, I'm in NZ now however we do intend on coming back to SA for few months towards the end of the year. I was just wondering, last time we were in SA, I had so much enjoyment tweaking the DSTV decoder at the holiday home we were staying at, to pick up all the shop music stations I found that very entertaining.

I was just wondering the next time we are back, I'm thinking about trying to pick up a proper Vivid decoder just to experiment, along with my DM500 stuff to keep myself entertained.

The only thing is where about can I pick up a vivid decoder?

Gumtree has nothing, Game has nothing. Dion wired has nothing, neither does Hifi Corp and I'm starting to run out of ideas of places where to look.

If somebody can point me in the right direction, that would be great?

Maybe Sentech discontinued vivid to residential users, and I wouldn't even know

Can somebody point me in the right direction please

thanks

If you put in the Sentech settings into most DStv single view decoders, you will still pick up all those FTA stations excluding SABC 1,2,3 and etv.

Thanks for the info, however I'm hoping to get a vivid decoder to get all the channels working while we are there. Including SABC, and if possible E-tv. (Not sure on E, because I heard they changed the encryption, because all the SA expats, in europe and beyond were tuning into E-tv). It would be great, if I could get my hands on a vivid decoder or even better, obtain Nagra codes, or a smart card so that I can experiement in getting all the channels working on my DM500. Radio channels are better than nothing, however I just like the feel of "Mission accomplished" when everything works.

I don't know if you are still watching this thread but Teljoy are selling Vivid decoders for R399 (and the service is still running).
