Yet another online store breaking VAT laws and contravening Advertising Standards.
 
Hi Billy,

It was actually done this way due to the fact that most suppliers quote customers on ex vat pricing which makes it easier for the comparison of pricing. We have no issue displaying incl Vat pricing as i stated above we are able to beat or match pricing, it just provides easy of use to installers

Your reasons for frankly irrelevant. Section 65 of the VAT Act tells you when you can and can't display a price as excluding VAT.
 
Here is another intersting bit of info which I read on the Advertising Authority website:

"In the matter Republic Bus & truck / W Heckroodt / 18961 (2 February 2012), the Directorate requested an opinion from the South African Revenue Service (SARS) on the issue. SARS stipulated, inter alia, that “The practice of only reflecting a price excluding VAT on an advertisement does not comply with the requirements of Section 65. In addition, it is not permissible merely to quote the price excluding VAT and have a statement that VAT has been excluded.”
