VLC 0.9.2

Had a bit of a bugger up when I tried to play a rented DVD with the latest VLC today. I configured the preferences as best I thought, kept testing and nothing worked. I finally opened preferences again and reset VLC to defaults and voila, it played the DVD perfectly.

Only great thing with this release, it might have been the same in the previous, but didn't see it. There is a default Volume slider in the Audio preferences Tab that I set to 400%, which is the maximum and sound is great on my little laptop :p

;)

The volume default settings were always there...

Sucks for MKV's. No Realmedia support. Rest ok.

VLC is the first thing I ever got to work with MKVs properly, right out of the box too.

For realmedia, get your self Real Alternative (google it), and get Quick Time Alternative lite to plug-in to that (for Quick Time support).

No more crappy proprietory players needed.

Seriously, if you have VLC and K-lite Mega Codec Pack, then there's no other media players that you need. They cover everything. What the one may struggle with, the other one plays.

Its seems to me that Uunet doesnt work anymore. I tried with 3 browsers and all of them give me errors that the page cannot be displayed.

0.9.4 is out.

From www.videolan.org landing page:

"We present you with VLC media player 0.9.4, the latest increment of our 0.9 series. This release brings Windows users all the 0.9.3 enhancements and fixes ... as well as fixing a few more bugs for the other platforms."
