VLC for iPhone

Invade you guys haven't heard, videolan, the makers of the popular VLC have started to develop a version of their media player for the iPhone. It is said to play almost all video formats. They have already developed a iPad version and the iPhone version will be out soon.

There's a screenshot. You guys think it will run on the iPhone 3G and the iPod touch 2g?

Nope. I'm guessing iPhone 3GS or higher only.

I've installed this player on my iPhone 4 and although it has a very easy to use interface it battles to play any media in excess of 640x480. Actually quite useless. Anyone have a credible alternative?

Try CineXPlayer... Apparently its quite good. In the American Appstore.. $3 i think..
