I know u cant really help with billing problems but my problem is i changed my banking details and the date for debit order was set for the 7 th of each month. At 7/8 the debit order was presented divided in 3 (I was not in arrears) and then they took another payment which was returned(this payment was due only in September).Customer care said it was a system fault (it crates the new account on the 3 de of each month) and i don't need to worry.I changed the due date to 1st to prevent this problem in the future.End of August they presented the debit order at a inflated amount which included R85-00 penalty fee for the debit order that was not suppose to be presented and been written back and which was not been provided for(only provided for the normal amount).I payed the money in as soon I saw what happened. Now Vodacom claims R85-00 for each debit order which was there fault, wrongly presented and not mine(1xdebit order 7/8 and inflated 1 for 1/9) I'm not responsible for the penalty fees as it was both Vodacom fault.I sent a few e-mails to customer care and there reply is pay or loose the service which i see as blackmailing. There is also banking cost involved and total damages runs at R300-00 rand in total and I would like some answers to this regard plz.:confused::confused::confused:
Can u forward this to someone that is senior and can sort this out plz. Acc no 10927483-5

I think you rather visit your nearest Vodashop or Vodacom walk in Customercare.Ask the consultant to show you your payment history.Look @ your private message.I will tell you why

Walk in Customer Care is your best bet for these types of issues.

Been there done it check my statements (payed in advance) and about 10 e-mail's no progress. So hopefully vodacomData can sort this.

if i recall correctly changing of debit orders, have to adhere to a couple of rules: When did you request your debit order date to be changed?, if it was after the magtape load, change of debit order date would only be effective, after the current run.

if it was before the magtape load, you run the risk of being double debited,- say your debit was set for the last day of the month and you now moved it to the 7th,...Vodacom billing run is the first , so your current month and and previous months bill would be payable on the 07th....

Best advice is rather to pay cash for the month of change so that you do not get double debited....-

The explanation i got is close to what yebo say but what happen Vodacom create there new acc on the 3/of each month and the debit order was set for the 7/of each month.Customer care said thats why I was double billed and it was a system fault I don't need to worry about it.But now they start to add penalty's to my acc for a system fault?
