Here is my hellopeter.com post:

Here I am again, complaining about Vodacare again.

I took my phone (that does not charge a battery) into Vodacare last year. They sent it back and said the battery must be replaced. I purchased a new battery and had the same problem, so I sent it back. They returned it and said the battery (brand new) was faulty. The 3rd time they said the charger was faulty (I purchased another charger). The 4th time they said that it was charging on their testbench. I made a scene on the 5th attempt and it was sent to head office. It came back 2 weeks later and AMAZINGLY it still doesn't work. I received no repair report.

NO MORE STUFFING ME AROUND. I either want a replacement phone, or I want my contract cancelled. I can't believe the incompetence of this company. Where does a consumer turn when the warranty holder refuses to honour the warranty? Do I take legal action? I'm paying over R400 a month for a phone that doesn't work.

You have 3 choices here Vodacom.

1.) You REPLACE my phone.
2.) You cancel my contract and cease your debit order so I can change providers.
3.) I take legal action.

I will not be taking my phone to Vodacare again as they are beyond useless.

Who do I talk to now? I'm at a loss. I want my phone to be repaired but Vodacom have made it clear that they can't repair it.

Thanks in advance.

5 times!? I must say you're pretty patient.

Don't waste your time anymore. Vodacom are obviously useless. Take legal action. Get your lawyer involved. Send a notification to Vodacom that they have breached the contract, and that you are cancelling it with immediate effect. Stop the debit order at the bank. Tell them to come and collect their phone if they want it back, or notify them that you are taking posession of it to offset the damages caused by the breach of contract.

There are already lawsuits / class action happening against Neotel and MTN. Vodacom needs to be added to this list.

What phone is it? I've had endless problems with Nokia Vodaworld. They are the pits.

Yeah its a 5800XM. Quite disappointed with it, I've already moved to a Blackberry (much happier)
