Trying to resolve a simple issue with my SIM, but calling 082155 is rather frustrating:

Call 1 – progressed through automated system, waited a bit, and was then disconnected before reaching a consultant.

Call 2 – Reached a consultant which provided the wrong information and then disconnected me without fully resolving the issue

Call 3 – progressed through the automated system, waited for a while and was yet again disconnected before reaching a consultant.

Have escalated. Gave Cara's number to them.

Thanks Jannie - not really necessary :)

What happened after the third call:

Handed it over to Cara. She called and asked for a call back. Callback received, but was just dead on the other end.

Cara called the helpdesk again, and the issue was resolved quickly.

Maybe a system issue?

Just a last post: Vodacom resolved the issue quickly after the first problems we experienced. We also received a call later on to make sure the issue was resolved. Good service in the end from Vodacom.

We are getting around 1Mbps down and 0.4Mbps up. This is in and around a small town in Mpumalanga. When I tested the service I thought it was fair, which showed me that we are really spoiled with great mobile broadband speeds from Vodacom in most towns and cities. I am starting to expect multiple Mbps in rural areas – Vodacom has set the bar rather high :D

Happened to me yesterday, just kept hanging up on me everytime I got through, could this have anything to do with my new sim not being activated yet? It's been 30 hours now....

As my operation is almost exclusively mobile of nature I can report good speeds from Vodacom in and around the Western Cape. Yes Vodacom has set the bar on the high side - Thanks

No, rather sounds like a fault somewhere in the IVR. The guys are busy investigating.

This has been happening for years. I hope they fix the fault.
