Vodacom 3G Keeps Disconnecting

Hi Guys

I don't know if anyone else have problems.

My 3G connection keeps disconnecting for some reason. Some days I get disconnected more than 300 times. Other days only 50 to a 100 times.

I dont know where the problem lies as I just bought a new modem thinking it would solve my problem.

Today this far I am at being disconnected 129 times.

Same here, my old E220 disconnects every 20-30 minutes on a good day, but usually more often, and I also sometimes have the "searching for network" issue.

I'll be working and when opening a new tab, my browser will say "web not available", and only then does the VMB software give me the "no connection available" pop up. I'm usually able to reconnect, but sometimes not at all, even after a restart.

This happens at home on a desktop (XP) and when travelling with my laptop (Win7), so it isn't pc dependent. I've updated the firmware and also used MDMA, all to no avail.

The call centre offers the generic solutions and then say they'll log an issue.

Waiting for the 2gb 8ta plan on 21 August to see if that is more reliable, seeing as I do have 8ta coverage.
