Somehow I ended up paying R330 for my Talk-130 package... at a rate of approximately R2.4 a minute.

Seems that there is a R97 connection fee (which recurs monthly) included in that figure...

Stupid me for just signing.

Vodacom 1 Customers (otherwise known as Muppets) 0

Actually about 50 - 0 to Vodacom after the recurring OOB billing debacles...

My apologies, the sum is R315 and that does not include the R97....

So that works out to R2.40 a minute...

Contract customers being shafted...

Anyway, so it goes...

This OOB is bull****! a Person should be capped by default!!!!!

I will ask to increase my data limit per month if I want it and know if I know I can afford it!

I've been with Vodacom since ... what, 2000 I think.
My phone bill has never been more than R500 - that is just my phone bill, now obviously DATA is also never a issue.
I got my Samsung, had that issue where the data was OOB and bam, R2000. Not once did Vodacom click and maybe decide that something is out of whack here and contact me, I had to contact them!

So, my rant is, that enough though it was ultimately my fault, a default setup or alarm protecting my account should have alerted Vodacom to maybe contact me and ask me if I know that my bill has gone more than it's ever have (R500!) instead, I LUCKILY checked my data when it hit R1800 before I noticed.

Vodacom, for all the millions it makes should at least allow a user to set a CAP or TOTAL LIMIT to their bill to PROTECT their clients.
