Vodacom and Mozambique

So I want to go to Mozambique in a month or 2 and was wondering if my Vodacom sim will still work there? Do I have to activate roaming or something? Would it be wise to do that?

Vodacom works in Moz you just need to have roaming activated before you leave. But you are better off buying a prepaid sim there and using that. It is a lot cheaper and you wont get any nasty surprise bills when you get home. If you do do the roaming thing make sure you switch your data connection off, that the main reason the prepaid is better their data rates aren't too bad.

You can roam the phone just switch off data because thats R50 a meg or something ridiculous. Have a look at their website for the costs.

Where in Moz are you going. In the south, Ponta Do Ouro, there is hardly any signal.
