Vodacom blacklisted device all over EU?

So my wife iPhone recieved no signal for the last 2 days, thought it was the EE sim that she purchased to be used while overseas. Then I tried my sim lycamobile and that also does not work.

Then I did check online and seems phone is blacklisted now.

Contract is fully paid, so not sure wtf vodacom is doing.

I thought they could only blacklist the phone in SA if they had reason to do so, like none payment etc .

Seems I'm now stuck, no use trying to call them from here, thank you for vodacon for nothing lol

This happend to anybody else before?
 
You should stop buying your phones from those Paki shops on street corners. :)
 
Ok my friend went to Vodacom everything fine one there side. Came back to Ireland and and UK, and seems to be working. Seems only be blocked in swedan. Really not sure what's going on.
 
Strange, one of my phones was blacklisted this week. Vodacom said we need to file affidavit & fill un-blacklist request form and they will un-blacklist after 48 hours of receiving the form etc. Vodacome customer care wouldn't (or couldn't) say who blacklisted it. We went to vodaworld where we bought the phone and they couldn't tell either. But, blacklisting is not that uncommon apparently as per the person at helpdesk. This is first time I experienced it. We haven't been overseas for almost a year so not related to above issue. Phone was never on contract - always prepaid SIM.

I had very good experience with vodacom. I once forgot to switch on the roaming facility and realized only after landing overseas. I then emailed their address (can't remember which one now - probably on their site) and I think they emailed back within 8 hours with few questions (like last date & amount of recharge etc) and once I answered those, they switched on the roaming facility within same day.
