Hi
This is the service that Vodacom gives potential clients. I posting my report form hellopeter.
I pre ordered the Galaxy S8 on the Vodacom website and waited patiently for it to be released. Vodacom contacted me for all the paper work needed and everything gets approved. I was helped by a wonderful lady and she really went out of her way to assist in any way.
They have a department that need to call to confirm that the order is correct but that is were the first issue comes. It took a week to get confirmation, my signal is very bad where I am during the day and I have a land line that works and I am available till 16:00. After many emails saying to call me on my land line they still call on my cell. For more than a week I was not contacted, they call on my cell and there is no way to contact them. I tried many departments but it is not possible.
So the confirmation gets done and I am looking forward to receiving my new phone but once again there is a issue. The system does not want to create an order for my contract so now I have to wait, and wait. 1 week goes by, it gets escalated to the highest point and another week goes by and I decide it is time to cancel and move on.
I sent an email stating that I think it is better to cancel my order and get a new 1 but now it will take 5 to 7 days to cancel my order and only after that can I apply for a new contract.
Apparently this is a common issue and I am not the first or last person this will happen to.
I moved away from MTN and decided to give Vodacom a chance but clearly their customers aren't that important to them.
For 3 weeks I am on prepaid which is costing me alot more that if I had a contract.
Clearly Vodacom does not have a clue what is going on in their business.
