Hi

This is the service that Vodacom gives potential clients. I posting my report form hellopeter.

I pre ordered the Galaxy S8 on the Vodacom website and waited patiently for it to be released. Vodacom contacted me for all the paper work needed and everything gets approved. I was helped by a wonderful lady and she really went out of her way to assist in any way.

They have a department that need to call to confirm that the order is correct but that is were the first issue comes. It took a week to get confirmation, my signal is very bad where I am during the day and I have a land line that works and I am available till 16:00. After many emails saying to call me on my land line they still call on my cell. For more than a week I was not contacted, they call on my cell and there is no way to contact them. I tried many departments but it is not possible.

So the confirmation gets done and I am looking forward to receiving my new phone but once again there is a issue. The system does not want to create an order for my contract so now I have to wait, and wait. 1 week goes by, it gets escalated to the highest point and another week goes by and I decide it is time to cancel and move on.

I sent an email stating that I think it is better to cancel my order and get a new 1 but now it will take 5 to 7 days to cancel my order and only after that can I apply for a new contract.

Apparently this is a common issue and I am not the first or last person this will happen to.

I moved away from MTN and decided to give Vodacom a chance but clearly their customers aren't that important to them.

For 3 weeks I am on prepaid which is costing me alot more that if I had a contract.

Clearly Vodacom does not have a clue what is going on in their business.

Vodacom moved to a New system Called Customer 3D.

Supposedly to Improve Anything but it has been anything but that.

They way it works is its fundamental bottleneck... Everything is an order

Need to Change sim create an order, They cannot move onto the next Order(Step) until the one before it is successful.

Hence your endless issues... This new system was supposed to automate things... HAHA so much for simplying and automatic... it just put 20 more layers of middle men in the process

I can confirm this. Also did the upgrade on the Website and went through the process. The consultant gave a data line only number to the Couriers to contact me on instead of main main number. Needless to say they could not get hold of me and the parcel was returned to Vodacom. Since then I have spoken to 4 Online Consultants and they promise to call me back to do a new upgrade as they cannot revert back to the original. This has taken now 2 weeks and still I do not have the upgrade. All the consultants informed me that it will be easier if I visit a Vodacom Shop and do the upgrade there. When I ask if I will still receive the added charger they said no.

This system comes from the mother ship and we had to fall in line. So, there is no going back to the old system :(

I don't even see how that is possible (unless you don't buy data bundles and if you are on the R2.79 call plan and not the R0.79 call plan), but anyway, hope it all gets sorted soon.

Who here can assist with Vodacom issues?

I had tons of issues and still have.

Vodacom online failed to upgrade me and so I went to the store and there was an issue with my profile as it did not have a finance deal option for some reason. This means I can only get cheap devices on expensive monthly contracts. I was not happy with this and the guy in Vodacom store assisted me by getting me credit vetted again by sending him 3 months bank statement.

Once that was done they generated a quote and I paid the R150 upgrade fee and off I went with my new s8. Awesome....

Now for some reason my CLIP Free was disabled and it can not be enabled again because of a pending order (the upgrade scheduled for the new month) and now everyone that phones me shows unknown number and there is nothing I can do about it until the upgrade order gets completed the end of the month. The new system is frustrating!
