Giant cellphone company Vodacom has dealt Nelson Mandela's family a financial blow after it pulled the plug on the free airtime it has been giving them for at least 23 years.
Sunday World has learnt that the company withdrew the privileges around March this year after their bill skyrocketed to alarming proportions in recent times.

Among those who have been enjoying the VIP status were Mandela's former wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, his daughters Zinzi and Zenani, and grandchildren Mandla, Mbuso and Ndaba.

Well, I think that's fair. No reason for free airtime at this point, they can work like regular civilians, which they are.
 
oh noes, what an awful 'financial blow' they've been dealt ...... I'm sure many hearts are just pumping custard for them :rolleyes:
 
They still get free contracts, just not uncapped !

Why did they have it free in the first place? They have millions, they should be subsidizing me, not the other way around

Anyway, to me

means its still free, but no longer unlimited
 
Do you think Allan Knott-Craig has a free uncapped Vodacom, Cell C or both ?
