Has anyone else had the issue of large chunks of data dissapearing on Vodacom data plan?

I've been keeping an eye on my data the last few days because i want to download a game on my xbox today or tomorrow before the end of the month.

I checked around Monday, and i had north of 15gig left for anytime and about 35 gig left on nightowl. This morning when i start my pc i watch a few seconds of youtube then the internet cuts off so I check my usage. Vodacom has deducted in the last 7 days exactly 15Gigs of "Twitch streaming" and i can with 100% certaintly say i did not watch twitch and I live alone so nobody else did.

Your router security has been compromised by one (or more) of your neighbours.

Or by hacker Twitch streamers - who knows?

I won't argue that point since it's possible but highly unlikely.
I live on the edge of a small rural town with a huge yard. The distance between where my router is and the next building is minimum 50 meters and then there's also walls....

On the router settings limit the allowed connections to only your devices at home. for instance, XBOX, cell, laptop etc. you should also be able to see the Mac addresses for all the devices connected. Block those that you can't find.
I've checked, no foreign devices.

Mystery solved folks. On the fextralife wiki top left corner is a small window where you can watch the fextralife staff stream gameplay on twitch.

So in the last 7 days that little windows ate 15gigs. Im playing elden ring and referencing some stuff on that site.

Thanks for the feedback, as it often the case it is actual device use, as I saw on colleagues devices (Whatsapp backups, FB stuff or photos syncing) when they complained to me. In this case it is autoplay stuff it seems, which should be blocked by browsers IMO.

Sure, there are billing problems and that other issue about VERY miniscule data usage that MyBB reports on on the providers side.

Ja I've read about those small amounts vanishing but I can't be bothered with that, I wouldn't even know if it's happening to me.

As for my involuntary twitch viewing I just blocked the player on fextralife with adnauseam.
