It seems that the Vodacom SMS notifications are not working. Which logically led to a OOB shark attack on my account (mostly due to using Tapatalk).

I bought two 1GB bundles throughout the month, due to high usage. I received both notifications that the bundles are loaded. And I have used up all 2GB. But here is the problem. It seems that I still have 12KB left according to the balance inquiry on Vodacom's website. So technically, my add-on bundles isn't used up yet (okay, I know 12KB is nothing). But Vodacom is charging me on OOB rates. It should be logical to first use up the 12KB (again, it should be used up in 0.0001 seconds) before going to OOB as well as SMS should be sent to indicate my data is now finished.

So @VodacomData , I would love to know if this is a system error that there is 12KB still left, but I'm being charged OOB and I haven't received any SMS notifications that my data bundle(s) were finished.

I have this same problem. Vodacom has to acknowledge in todays digital age, one laptop connection over a hotspot will run updated up to 3000rand, they caught me out with a nasty trick. They have been chumming the water, by not sending the usage notifications like they do other months, and it has cost me a total of R5000 in 2 months.

Disgusting, and nobody is interrested to remedy this. I used the data I have no problem with paying for it, but out of bundle rates?

Why should I when they are the ones to act with malicious intent?

I noticed this as well end of November, but I have learnt and I check all the time and basically, as was mentioned before, I've come to accept it.

Even Vodacom themselves have admitted to me that it's never going to be 100% accurate, and the system will never function the way it is, thus why you should always manually check yourself (which I do)
