My father-in-law tried to migrate to prepaid earlier this week, only to find - to his astonishment - that he had a new contract. Further investigation revealed that he was allegedly upgraded on 11 December 2013 by a phone call from Vodacom Direct.
We have been trying to get this recording to listen to what was said, but it is proving to be impossible.
* Went to Tygervalley shop, advised to phone 082911
* Went back to Tygervalley shop again, kind person there logged call with Vodacom Direct
* Got call from consultant (Vodacom Direct? Customer Care?) that alleges recording can be listened to at *any* store
* Phoned 082911 again, no you can't listen to the recording at any store - you have to phone the upgrade line (which is conveniently closed after 18:00 at night)
* Phoned the store again who says no you can't listen to the recording at the store - only Vodacom Direct
* Phoned the store again and got a little bit upset about this going round and round
* Store phones us again and tells us we have to drive to Canal Walk to listen to the recording
So, this is plain ridiculous. It is possible for Vodacom to do an alleged upgrade over the phone, but when you want to have them prove the contract they find every possible way to deflect this? And there is *no-one* that can sort this out?
