Does anyone know whats vodacoms policy on early upgrades on contracts?
Average monthly bill seem to be between 800 and 1000 pm.

I usually do it online or via the online upgrades call centre (if I must) and no issues that way.

I can upgrade in a couple of months but my fone fell now at lunch and need to decide between upgrade cost or the R1500 for a screen replacement just to use the fone for abit then get a new one.

You may get a pre-mature upgrade by adding another 24 months on your existing contract provided it does not exceed 36 months. Just remember you will have to keep the same phone for the remainder of your contract and the 24 months of the other.

Just email [email protected] or call 0821958 and ask for a premature upgrade. It can be done.

log into vodacom and you can also click on "eligable for an early upgrade" to see if you are.

Thanks for that Des316, I just mailed them and awaiting a response now.

Where do you see eligable for an early upgrade?

All I see is that my upgrade date is two months prior to the end of my contract.

Same thing happened to me and upon querying I was told that I don't qualify as my cell phone bill isn't more than R1000 per month... they did phone back a week or so later and offered me a once-off deal to upgrade, so that eased my temper a bit...

just spoke to customercare and according to them there is no such thing. ill just buy a new phone for the time being

Call the web upgrade number. The sales team on 111 suck.
