I need some info please. Where I stay we have Vodacom Fiber. When they came and pitched they said we can use Vodacom for the line and for the data or our current ISP or Vodacom.

When I called Vodacom it seem only ISP's that has an agreement with Vodacom, ask them who is then they say one one :wtf:

How does it work?

My mate has vodacom fibre and thats the only isp available to him too. also something to note, he has a camera setup at his home and he needs dyndns to view them while he is away and the router provided by vodacom keeps forgetting his port settings.

good luck

Ja MTN fibre is the same ! Only on "MTN-network" Interessting CellC supports a few fibre networks !

So according to Vodacoms terms and conditions 'Dark Fibre Africa (DFA), Openserve, Vumatel, Fibrehoods, Century City Connect, SA Digital Villages (SADV) and Metrofibre are the Vodacom Fibre 3rd Party Network Providers'. I phoned Fibrehoods they said they aren't in my area(Greenstone Hill) but doesn't 3rd party access mean they are allowed to use Vodacoms fibre infrastructure???

Vodacom is not "open access" yet as the previously claimed. PBCool mentioned a while ago about some progress but until Vodacom see's some profit they will prob just keep locked to them.

A vodacom fibre rep was in our estate. They said they waiting for approval from icasa which I don't understand.
