I just had a visit from people from vodacom fibre .
They are offering 10/10 uncapped for R600 per month, anyone else using them? Good? Bad or avoid?
Any input will be greatly appreciated

if 24 month contract lock in...nein
They say it is month to month ..
Free installation
Free router
I am thinking to go for it , if it suck at least i will have to installation done , at that point i could always kick them out if they suck and then just another isp.
Am i missing something ?

Ask about the claw back period/ amount ...for all the freebies. Last I had Vodacom Fibre Sales pitching to me, it was either a 24 or 36 month lockin.

read the small print its not month to month - there are clawbacks - the only way you will truly get month to month on any ISP is if you pay for the installation and connection fee yourself.
From all the threads I have seen on MYBB I would avoid Vodacom

Thanks .
Metro fibre did all that
Ok you have at least many choices and not stuck with any ISP.
if you willing to pay for installation fee / connection fee
Go with
Cool ideas (not a customer but seen good things mentioned)
Rocketnet (used to be a customer)
Mind the speed (currently a customer)

Please just read the contract before you sign and make sure you get all the details they claim in writing e.g speed upload and download, that it is actually month to month with no penalty if you cancel.

I had a vodacom rep ring my bell talk and talk a big game but when they installed it was not what she promised.
I know it was my fault and it was small school fees for not getting everything in writing.
I have been happy with vodacomm fibre over vumatel in about 2 years I have not had any issues.

Problems with Vodacom - besides clawbacks etc (although honestly I expect that to be the case for "free" stuff) ... Accounts department is ATROCIOUS - 3 months to fix a billing problem. Bigger problem - their stupid locked down router, they don't allow you access to the router for longer than 24 hours so everytime you want to do a port forward you need to log a call, change wifi network, anything on the router - log a call. So frustrating.
